Abstract
Glucose has been continuously monitored in diabetic patients by coupling the microdialysis sampling technique with a glucose biosensor. A wearable instrument has been developed and applied with very little discomfort for the patient and high accuracy and low imprecision of the results. Glucose fluctuations during the day, and particularly during the night, can be easily detected, giving additional information to the physicians to improve the disease treatment.
