摘要
Single crystals of CaMoO(4)and SrMoO(4)are grown by a flux-growth technique using the corresponding chlorides as the flux. The crystal structures of CaMoO(4)and SrMoO(4)are refined using powder X-ray diffraction data: space groupI4(1)/a(no. 88),Z= 4. Unlike SrMoO4, which can be reduced to SrMoO3, the CaMoO(4)decomposes to CaO and Mo in H-2/Ar (5%) flow. It is probably because the highly distorted MoO(4)tetrahedron in CaMoO(4)hinders the structural transition. The distortion of MoO(4)tetrahedron is also confirmed by their emission spectra.
