PENETRATION OF SOLAR COSMIC RAYS WITH HIGHLY ANISOTROPIC DISTRIBUTION INTO THE NEAR-EARTH SPACE

The solar cosmic rays (SCRs) aka solar energetic particles (SEPs) are of substantial interest for space physics. This work investigates the dependence of ionization capability C functions on the properties of particles: their spectra, types and angular distributions at their penetration. New formulas for agular distribution F of ionizing capability of SCRs are derived for sub-relativistic approximation. The case of anisotropic spatial distribution of particles' flux is described by function f (theta) = B-beta cos(beta) theta. The angle theta is the particle penetration angle between the normal and the direction of the precipitating particle. B-beta and beta are constants, which are determined by the condition for normalization of SCR spectra. New expressions are obtained for strong anisotropy beta = 3, 4 and 5. The results of the calculations at different degrees of anisotropy (beta = 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4) are presented.
