An Approach for Synthesis of Dithioacetals by CuI-Catalyzed C-S Coupling Reaction of N-Tosylhydrazone with Disulfides

Abstract
A copper (I) catalyzed C-S bond formation by reaction of N-tosylhydrazones and disulfides is developed. A variety of N-tosylhydrazones underwent coupling reaction with various disulfides successfully to afford the corresponding dithioacetals in moderate to good yields.
