RESEARCH ON THE CONTROL STRATEGIES OF VEHICLE CHASSIS DYNAMOMETER

In this paper, the vehicle chassis dynamometer and the control strategies of its loading device have been studied. Based on the dynamic characteristic analysis of driving wheels running on the dynamometer and on road, establish the mechanic electric mathematical model which simulates both the inertia and the driving resistance, compensate to the translational inertia with the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). On the control strategy of PMSM, a control strategy of direct torque control with space vector modulation(DTC-SVM) is proposed. The double closed-loop flux and torque PI control arithmetic is established based on the mathematical models of PMSM, with flux and torque as the control variables. Simulation and experiment results show that, compared with the traditional direct torque control, the flux and torque ripples decrease greatly, the static and dynamic performance of the system is improved. With the DTC-SVM strategy, the output torque change quickly with the purpose torque, the precise control of vehicle chassis dynamometer is obtained.
