摘要
In low- and middle-income countries, where 90% of the world’s children and adolescents reside, there is a severe shortage of mental health specialists. Mental health services provided by nonspecialists in primary care (task shifting) has been proposed as a sustainable solution to close the mental health treatment gap. To target limited resources most efficiently in the implementation of task-shifted mental health care, it is critical to understand rates of specific disorders and current health care–seeking behavior.
