The Baldwin effect of HeII emission lines in Wolf-Rayet stars.

We studied the physiscs behind the relation between continuum luminosity and line equivalent width (the Baldwin effect) in Wolf-Rayet stars. Model atmosphere calculations show the effect to be present over a wide range of basic stellar parameters. We found that the effect is mainly caused by differences in core radius among stars and that the ionisation structure plays a crucial role in the appearance of the effect.
