摘要
According to its typological and technological characteristics, the Final Paleolithic site of Salzkotten-Thule can be assigned to a later stage of the Federmesser groups, i.e. corresponds to the final stage of the Allerod-Interstadial or the early Younger Dryas. in due consideration of recent research focusing on spatial analyses of Final Paleolithic sites in central and north-western parts of Europe, similar analyses at Salzkotten-Thule have led to several methodical considerations and have also resulted in different reconstructions of intra-site settlement dynamics. Assumed dwelling structures at early hunter-gatherer camp sites substantially influence the interpretation; this is especially the case when regarding the distribution of stone tools and areas of activity which derived from these distribution patterns.
