Abstract
The wind flow around a group of tall buildings has a great influence oil the habitat environment. In view of the complex of wind environment, numerical simulation and testing methods are introduced for the prediction of wind effect around the tall buildings. The corresponding testing velocity vector is compared at different pedestrian height level (0.5m, 1.5m, 2.0m) for some testing point. The result indicates it is reasonable and scientific to choose testing point at 1.5m height. Meanwhile, the simulation results are compared with those of the corresponding measurement, the results show that they are in agreement. At last, some suggestion is made for choosing testing points based oil the results of numerical simulation. Consequently, the research is useful for improving buildings arrangement and optimizing climate environment in urban.
