A MEASUREMENT METHOD FOR WIND ENVIRONMENT AT THE PEDESTRIAN LEVEL AROUND BUILDINGS

The wind environment of pedestrian level, which affects outdoor human comfort and health, is an important element for wind environment in city. The measurement of pedestrian wind environment is significant to evaluate and improve pedestrian comfort level in wind environment. To develop outdoor wind environment simulation model and provide the design data, this paper summarized measurement methods for wind environment, including test condition, test item, test district, data collection and analysis. The pedestrian wind environment of one district is measured and evaluated, through which some distribution methods of test points on pedestrian level is provided.
