Membrane Technologies and Their Use in Treatment of Groundwater and Landfill Leachate

Membrane separations are widely utilized in many fields, including treatment of industrial wastewater. Recent development in membrane preparation enabled expansion of membrane technologies into two new fields - treatment of contaminated groundwater and polluted landfill leachates, where membrane units are exposed to complex operation conditions. This review provides a comprehensive report on membrane performance in the two fields.
