Synthesis of Chitosan supported Palladium nanoparticles and its Catalytic activity towards 2-nitrophenol reduction

Chitosan supported Palladium nanoparticles were synthesized by a simple cost effective chemical reduction method using NaBH4. The prepared nanocomposite was characterized by X-Ray diffraction analysis, FESEM and Energy dispersive spectroscopy analysis of X-rays (EDAX). The catalytic performance of the nanocomposite was evaluated on the reduction of 2-Nitrophenol to the 2-Amino phenol with rate constant 1.08 x 10(-3) S-1 by NaBH4 using Spectrophotometer.
