Bioactive compounds in tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) variety saladette and their relationship with soil mineral content

•The elemental composition of the soil and the tomato bioactives was related to their location within different regions.•A relationship between Tl with lycopene and rutin with Mg was found in tomato Tultitlán.•Chloragenic acid and quercetin in tomato were positively related with As, Ni, Be in the soil in the fruit from C.IZC.•Resveratrol, and naringin in tomato had a relationship to heavy metals.
