摘要

The pectolytic enzymes of late spring and autumn carrots (roots and leaves) were evaluated. The activities of pectin acetylesterase, rhamnogalacturonase and rhamnogalacturonan lyase were detected besides the expected activities of exopolygalacturonase and pectinesterase, but no activity of polygalacturonase was found. This is the first report about the presence of rhamnogalacturonan splitting enzymes in plant tissues.
