Highly Selective Molecularly Imprinting Polymer-Based Sensor for the Electrochemical Determination of Metoxuron

•Poly p-phenylenediamine was synthesized by electrochemically.•A phenylurea herbicide, metoxuron was imprinted onto the poly p-phenylene diamine.•Netoxuron imprinted the poly p-phenylene diamine modified electrodes exhibited high selectivity towards its analogues.•This study is the first in the literature based electrochemically metoxuron detection.
