摘要

•Ni2V2O7 nanorod is synthesized by solution combustion method.•First time ever Ni2V2O7 nanorods are used in the fiber optic gas sensor.•The clad modified Ni2V2O7 showed the high sensitivity to ammonia at room temperature.
