摘要

•A new modeling method for simulating effects of trailing edge serrations is proposed.•The modeled results demonstrate that proposed method is effective in replicating hydrodynamic and aeroacoustic characteristics as solid serrations.•A noise reduction mechanism is discussed from a new perspective.
