Abstract

Endoscopic suturing is an alternative to surgical treatment for a broad spectrum of care, ranging from closure of mucosal or full thickness gastrointestinal tract defects to stent fixation. A growing number of centers worldwide are performing endoscopic suturing procedures using the OverStitchTM Endoscopic Suturing System (Apollo Endosurgery Inc. Austin, Texas) and more recently the OverStitch SxTM.
