Curative Effect of External Counterpulsation for Patients with Coronary Heart Disease Evaluated by Three-dimensional Echocardiography

We used 3DE to asses the left ventricular(LV)function in 20 patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)before and after treatment with external counterpulsation(ECP).The results are (ved)and the area of segmental contractility in 5-lO%segment were decreased.While the area of segmental contractility in 25%～30%segment was increased after 2 courses.Most of indexes showed significant changes after 3 courses,such as increases of EF,stroke volume(SV)and the area in\u003e20% segments and decreases in Ves,Ved and the area in\u003c10%segments.The wave peak Was shifted to the back in the histogram of the myocardial segmental contractility.It is suggested that the LV function 0f patients with CHD might not be improved after l course of ECP treatment,partly improved after 2 courses and remarkably improved after 3 courses.\r\n\r\nKey words: \r\nthree-dimensional echocardiography coronary heart disease externalcounterpulsation
