Abstract
We have investigated the /sup 70/Zn(p,t)/sup 68/Zn reaction using a beam energy of 35 MeV. Angular distributions were extracted for 18 levels up to 4.25 MeV excitation in /sup 68/Zn. Distorted-wave Born-approximation calculations have been performed and compared to each angular distribution. Because the distorted-wave Born-approximation angular distributions to the lowest 2/sup +/, 3/sup -/, and 4/sup +/ states in /sup 68/Zn are found to be a poor representation of the data, we have also performed coupled-channels Born-approximation calculations for the /sup 70/Zn(p,t) reaction leading to these states.
