Developing a conceptual model and power capacity estimates for a low-temperature geothermal prospect with two chemically and thermally distinct reservoir compartments, Hawthorne, Nevada, USA

•Two low temperature hydrothermal systems are identified in Hawthorne prospect A.•Fluid chemistry differences suggest that the two systems are compartmentalized.•Maximum temperatures are 115 °C (deeper resource) and ∼100 °C (shallow resource).•The deep resource is inferred to conductively heat the shallow resource.•We estimate power capacities for each resource using the power density approach.
