摘要

•A promising ZnO/rGO heterojunction-based chemiresistive NO2 sensor is demonstrated.•Sensor shown benchmarked response value of 33.11 at 2.5 ppm and detection limit down to ppb.•Sensor exhibits good linearity in ppb range, high selectivity and long-term stability to NO2.•The sensing mechanism of ZnO/rGO heterojunction towards NO2 gas is deduced in detail.
