摘要
•A magnetic steering variable stiffness manipulator (VSM) was proposed and developed.•The variable stiffness can be obtained using the phase transition of the graphene polylactic acid (GPLA).•The magnetic steering and variable stiffness using a single-segment VSM were verified.•We estimated Young’s moduli of VSM and GPLA depending on the voltage of GPLA electrodes.•Various postures with several curvatures using double-segment VSM were realized.
