Anatomical Sources of Variability in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation in Youth
BIOLOGICAL PSYCHIATRY(2020)
Abstract
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is increasingly used in pediatric populations. The distance between the scalp and the cortex is an important variable as the TMS signal is rapidly attenuated by distance. To date, there have been no investigations on how variability in scalp to cortex (STC) distance may influence the amount of TMS delivered in youth.
