摘要
Recurrence of lung cancer in the carina region-induced severe right main bronchial stenosis after pneumonectomy is a challenging clinical problem. Despite the fact that intravenous chemotherapy and radiotherapy cannot quickly relieve stenosis to improve the symptoms of dyspnea in such patients, they are also unsuited for surgical resection, resulting in rather poor prognosis. Herein, we report the cases of 2 patients who achieved satisfactory results with bronchial artery infusion chemotherapy combined with drug-eluting bead chemoembolization followed by radiotherapy. After a 6-month follow-up, both patients were found to live normally without any symptoms of dyspnea or hemoptysis. This treatment improves the quality of life and prolongs the survival of patients. This method provides a new idea for the treatment of lung cancer in clinic. (C) 2020 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
