Background: Monitoring for Fontan associated morbidity is becoming increasingly important due to increased survival rates. Cardiopulmonary exercise performance (CPX) is an objective measurement of cardiovascular, pulmonary, and metabolic health. CPX has long been used to evaluate for coronary health in the adult population and its use as a screening tool in patients with congenital heart disease is becoming more common.
