摘要
AWJM is the most effectual non-traditional machining used in the processing of extensive range of intricate to machine materials and incomprehensible geometric profile. However, there is need for post processing because of poor surface finish. Therefore, it is very important to study and evaluate the optimum process variables for achieving superior surface finish cost-effectively. In this work, key variables transverse speed, jet pressure and standoff distance were optimized to accomplish multiple output attributes superior surface finish [Ra], least kerf angle [Ka] and higher material removal [MRR]. The experimentation process was carried out using Taguchi's design of experiments (L9) orthogonal array. The optimum machining variables were achieved using principal component analysis, weightage method and grey relational analysis. In broad-spectrum, jet pressure and jet transverse speed significantly affects surface roughness, material removal rate and kerf Angle. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
