Integration of remote sensing, gravity and geochemical data for exploration of Cu-mineralization in Alwar basin, Rajasthan, India

•Remote sensing technologies have also evolved in the recent past to facilitate mineral exploration.•ASTER data has been used to detect surface mineralization signatures in Alwar basin, NE Rajasthan, India using SAM.•Indicator minerals and a combination of lineament, geochemistry and geophysical tools aim to find Cu- mineralization.•Importance of remote sensing in mineral exploration to find potentially rich but unexplored zones has been established.
