Levothyroxine overdose in a hypothyroid patient with adjustment disorder: A case report

•Thyronorm overdose or poisoning by accidental ingestion may be seen in pediatric age group but is very rare in adult population.•Overdose due to suicidal ideation may be the cause but appearance of toxicity depends on ingested dose, disease chronicity and amount of active hormone.•Concomitant psychiatric illness and drug interaction with thyroid hormones should always be considered.
