Abstract
•The CCL5 -109G/A, and CCL5 -403G/A SNPs were associated with increased risk of ACS in Mexicans.•Under three inheritance models, the −109 G allele increased risk of developing ACS.•Under two inheritance models, the -403A allele increased risk of developing ACS.•The -109 AG/GG genotypes carriers have a lower concentration of the CCL5 in plasma.•The carriers of -403 AA genotype showed a low concentration of the CCL5 in plasma.
