摘要

•Remote pipe welding tool accessing from inside of the pipe has been newly developed.•Cooling pipe with a jut on the edge expands the acceptable welding gap up to 0.5mm.•Positioning accuracy of the laser beam is realized to be less than ±0.1mm.•We have achieved robust welding for an angular misalignment of 0.5°.
