Nearest neighbour search over encrypted data using intel SGX

•The paper presents an efficient framework for privacy-preserving social discovery based on secure nearest neighbour search technique.•The proposed method adopts recently introduced Intel SGX architecture to ensure hardware oriented security and uses locality sensitive and min hashing techniques to achieve efficiency.•This work can benefit social discovery related research by improving both security and efficiency of the nearest neighbour search problem which can be useful in contemporary social media services.
