Abstract
Fault locating technology is one of the important means to reduce the power outage range of the distribution network, shorten the user’s fault outage time, and improve the reliability of power supply. Due to the complex structure of the distribution network, there are many branch lines. The fault location method based on single-ended measurement may cause multiple fault location estimation problems due to similar electrical equivalent paths. In this paper, using multi-source and complementary measurement information provided by distributed intelligent measurement equipment, a weighted least squares state estimation method is proposed to solve the problem of fault location identification under limited measurement conditions in the distribution network. The method simulates the actual fault situation by adding faulty branches, and then traverses and calculates the detection value of each node and judges its size, thereby achieving the judgment of the faulty node. A large number of simulations show that the research method has a good positioning effect under different fault types and fault resistance.
