Abstract
This paper presents a study on improvement of the finite element model of corrugated cardboards. There is one shortcoming in modeling the stiffness of such cardboards in literature: neglect of the material non-linear effect of cardboards and cannot predict the peak load. A finite element method was applied to overcome this shortcoming - particularly by adopting an orthotropic material constitutive model.
