The invention discloses an SNP marker for detecting the susceptibility position of systemic lupus erythematosus in a non-coded gene region and an application of the SNP marker. The technical scheme protected by the invention comprises an application of substances for detecting polymorphism or genotype of rs13259960 in a human genome to preparation of products for screening patients suffering fromthe systemic lupus erythematosus or detecting the susceptibility of the systemic lupus erythematosus, and an application of substances for detecting the polymorphism or the genotype of the rs13259960in the human genome to preparation of products for detecting single nucleotide polymorphism relevant to the systemic lupus erythematosus. The substances for detecting the polymorphism or the genotypesof the rs13259960 or other substances (such as substances for detecting other single nucleotide polymorphism or genotypes relevant to the systemic lupus erythematosus) are combined together for preparing products for screening the patients suffering from the systemic lupus erythematosus or detecting the susceptibility of the systemic lupus erythematosus.
