Construction of the New Mode of the PE Teaching in the Higher Vocational Colleges with the Occupational Demands as the Orientation

At present, the school-running goal of China's higher vocational colleges is to cultivate the skilled talents, with serving the communities as the basic purpose, and the promotion of the students' employment as the basic orientation. With the development of the higher vocational education, there are more and more researches on the cultivation of the talents in the higher vocational colleges, but there are not many researches on the teaching reform of the physical education in the higher vocational colleges with the vocational abilities as the orientation. Through the survey we find that many of today's enterprises require that the staff should not only acquire the professional skills, but also should have the good physical qualities, to better meet the needs of the work. In the questionnaire survey of the situations of the college graduates seeking for the employment, we found that the level of the physical fitness has become a major standard for the recruitment of the employer. Although many higher vocational colleges have gradually begun to increase the emphasis on the physical education, the effectiveness of the teaching mode is still relatively low, and it does not reflect its characteristic with the occupational abilities as the orientation. Therefore, for the higher vocational colleges, it is very necessary to construct a teaching mode with the occupational abilities as the orientation.
