Mechanical properties of Xigeda soil with different contents of EPS under a consolidated undrained triaxial compression test
ADVANCED ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY III(2017)
摘要
To study the influence of the content of expanded polystyrene on the mechanical properties and strength of Xigeda soil, 16 groups of tests were conducted under a consolidated undrained triaxial compression state. The test results indicate that when the confining pressure is lower, strain softening occurs and the pore water pressure first rises and then decrease. When the confining pressure is higher, strain hardening is observed and the pore water pressure rises and reaches as table state. In this test, with the increase of contents of expanded polystyrene, the deviatoric stress, secant modulus and effective internal friction angle first decrease and then increase, and the effective cohesion decreases linearly.
