A Novel Cold-Start Linear Power Flow Model Considering Voltage Amplitude

Linear power flow is significant in power system studies, such as power system reliability analysis and real-time scheduling. Now, the DC power flow (DCPF) model is widely used, which could accurately estimate active power, but it fails to consider voltage amplitude and reactive power. To solve this problem, a novel linear power flow (NLPF) model considering voltage amplitude and reactive power is proposed in this paper. First, the classical AC power flow model (ACPF) is decoupled and linearized, and its accuracy is analyzed by comparison with other linearized methods. Then, according to the proposed model, the NLPF model is simplified, and the calculation process is given, and the calculation efficiency is analyzed at the same time. Finally, a general decoupled power flow model is proposed, and the accuracy and robustness of the proposed model are proved by several cases in Matpower6.0.
