Abstract
Anterior segmental subapical osteotomy of the jaw carries surgical risks such as damage to adjacent dental roots and nerves. 1 Haas Junior O.L. Guijarro-Martinez R. de Sousa Gil A.P. et al. Stability and surgical complications in segmental Le Fort I osteotomy: a systematic review. The guide will ensure the best osteotomy planes intraoperatively and avoids iatrogenic damage to adjacent structures. This will also allow for a better fit of the anterior segment to the mandible with minimal adjustments, thus reducing the duration of the operation. Here, we present the sequence of designing a surgical cutting guide for a segmental osteotomy.
