Synthesis And Characterization Of A New Fluorescence Molecular Probe For Copper Ions

In this paper, a novel fluorescence molecular probe for copper ions that utilizes stilbene as a recognizing group and bis-2-picolylamine as a ionophore was designed and synthesized. The compounds were identified by UV-visible spectrum, IR spectrum, H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR and GC/MS etc., and the fluorescence properties of the molecular probe was investigated. The new fluorescence molecular probe exhibited excellent selectivity for copper ions among many common metal ions in CH3CN/H2O (1 : 9, V : V) solution, that the fluorenscence quenching ratio is 96.45%, with a linear working range of 0.01 similar to 0.50 mu mol/L and a detection limit of 25 nmol/L Cu2+.
