Tests of standard model in leptonic sector and R

We describe the current status of a few tests of the Standard Model using high-precision measurements in the leptonic sector. In particular, lepton universality after recent measurements of the tau lepton mass as well as muon anomalous magnetic moment are discussed. Also reported are recent measurements of the R value in the charmonium and bottomonium energy ranges.
