Changes In Liver Transplant Center Practice In Response To Coronavirus Disease 2019: Unmasking Dramatic Center-Level Variability

We read with interest the letter by Agopian et al (1), which highlighted the negative impact of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on liver transplantation (LT) in the United States. Timing of LT for patients recovered from COVID-19 has become a critical issue during the pandemic. Patients with deteriorating ESLD without a living-donor option could die while awaiting deceased-donor LT.(2-4).
