Statistical inference of mass channel purity from Fisher ratio analysis using comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography with time of flight mass spectrometry data
Journal of Chromatography A(2020)
Abstract
•Information in Fisher ratio hit lists is used to estimate analyte concentration ratio.•An automatable approach for relative quantification is investigated and validated.•Lack-of-fit combined with p-value thresholds indicate mass channel (m/z) selectivity.•Isolation of pure m/z is achieved without higher level signal decomposition algorithms.•The m/z that produced the highest Fisher ratio was generally the purest m/z.
