Structural Barriers to Computer Science Education in NZ High Schools
ICER '20: International Computing Education Research Conference Virtual Event New Zealand August, 2020(2020)
摘要
This research explores questions around what barriers prevent students from learning Computer Science (CS) and programming at New Zealand (NZ) high schools. The structural barriers are typically centered around schools and teachers' preparedness but can also include government policies such as setting the national school curriculum, making funds available, creating and mandating CS standards and setting university entrance requirements. My work focuses on identifying those structural barriers and building up a framework to increase equitable access by eliminating structural barriers.
