Performance Analysis of 64-QAM Proposed Modification in MIMO Transmit Diversity at LTE Network Cell Edges.

LTE mobile networks continue to strive for higher data rates, lower Bit Error Rate (BER) and better link reliability in order to provide more advanced services on the go. Deployment of MIMO, multiple antennas at both transmitter and receiver, is one of the most promising technologies to fulfill these demands. Indeed, MIMO systems are capable of achieving higher data rates, lower BER and improve link reliability compared to SISO, single-antenna systems without any additional bandwidth or transmit power. At cell edge coverage areas, where Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) is minimal, many MIMO approaches like transmit diversity and spatial multiplexing can be deployed. In this paper, transmit diversity Orthogonal Space-time Block Coding (OSTBC) modulated by enhanced 64-QAM performance analysis in terms of BER will be introduced, a performance comparison between proposed enhancement and QPSK, 64-QAM and TCM based OSTBC techniques will be introduced as well.
