•A novel accumulator for space application was designed and introduced.•The whole process of MPTL system for space camera payload was analyzed.•Dynamic behaviors of heat and mass transfer process of MPTL system were discussed.•Influence of lowering pump speed to the performance of MPTL was revealed.
