摘要
•The first rotatable magnetic force microscope works in a non-vector superconducting magnet, which ensures us to achieve an equally high magnetic field in both in-plane and out-of-plane directions (for a vector magnet, the field in one direction is typically much weaker than the other).•The direction of the magnetic field related to the sample surface can be changed from 0° to 90° continuously.•An excellent example of application is presented where the magnetization direction of FMM domains changes from out-of-plane into in-plane by rotating the whole MFM head.
