Treated dentin matrix‐based scaffolds carrying TGF-β1/BMP4 for functional bio-root regeneration

•Integrating native decellularized matrix with physiological bio-agents promoted regeneration-oriented differentiation of exogeneous stem cells in vivo.•We designed the regenerative pattern of biomimetic teeth and developed bio-teeth which functioned normally more than 5 months in beagle.•Treated dentin matrix carrying TGF-β1/BMP4 synergistically enhanced the interfacial enthesis formation.
