Address Preex Discovery Technique in Idmaps Project (eecs 589 Project Final Report)

In this paper, we are going to describe our technique to discover the Internet Address Preexes (APs). This technique is based on distancee. By distancee we mean latency or hop count. Different techniques have been previously used to mapp the Internet. Most of those techniques depend on hop-limited probes, which increase the network load around the hosts that are doing the mapping. Our technique is based mostly on la-tency which tries to aggregate those IP addresses that have almost the same distancee into the same Address Preex (AP). By using that technique , only a few packets are sent to infer the distance to a speciic host. The grouping technique can be reened by doing some hop-limited probes.
