Access to minor surgical procedures in a community family health unit: an initiative for improving care and access as basic health units

It was describe the implantation of small surgical procedures performed by physicians living in a Brazilian Family Health Unit. This is an experience report carried out in the city of Vitória, Espírito Santo, Brazil, describing the introduction of small surgical procedures by the Family and Community Medicine medical residency program in a Basic Health Unit (UBS) of the municipality.
